Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses neural networks with many layers to learn complex patterns from large amounts of data.

The “deep” in deep learning refers to the many layers of a neural network. Each layer learns increasingly abstract representations of the input data. Deep learning has driven major advances in image recognition, speech recognition, and natural language processing.

Deep learning models typically require large amounts of training data and significant computing resources. They are also among the most difficult AI models to interpret or explain.
