Provincial Portal Highlights
Ontario Data Catalogue (data.ontario.ca) is one of the largest provincial portals, with thousands of datasets across all government ministries.
BC Data Catalogue (catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca) is particularly strong for geographic and natural resource data, reflecting BC's extensive GIS infrastructure.
Données Québec (donneesquebec.ca) aggregates data from the provincial government and Quebec municipalities in one place.
Alberta Open Government (open.alberta.ca) publishes data on energy, environment, and provincial services.
Provincial licences vary. Most use a version of the Open Government Licence, but some datasets may have additional restrictions. Always check the licence before using provincial data in a product or publication.
